ABOUT Fruity bean sprouts RECIPE

Sprouted beans with mixed fruits is a very healthy, tongue tickling and wholesome food to have in breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Green gram 1/2 cup
  2. Black-eyed peas 1/2 cup
  3. Oil 1 tesp
  4. Salt 1/2 tesp
  5. Rock salt 1/2 tesp
  6. Chat masala 1/2 tesp
  7. Black pepper powder 1/2 tesp
  8. Red chilli powder 1/4 tesp
  9. Apple 1/4 th
  10. Banana 1/2
  11. Pomegranate pearls 2 tbsp
  12. Green coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  13. Cottage cheese 50 gms
  14. Lemon 1

Instructions

  1. Soak both beans together for 8-10 hours.
  2. Drain and wash the soaked beans and keep them covered in a wet cloth for 24 hours in a hot and humid place.
  3. By the time beans start germinating. Wash them and keep again covered in wet cloth for 24-36 hours.
  4. By the time beans would be sprouted.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and add sprouted beans with salt and 1/4 cup of water.
  6. Cook covered on low for about 10 minutes until beans gets tender (not mushy) and water dries up.
  7. Cool cooked beans.
  8. Finely chop apple, banana, cottage cheese and green coriander leaves.
  9. In a large bowl mix together cooked beans, apple, banana, pomegranate pearls, cottage cheese and coriander leaves.
  10. Season with rock salt, chat masala, black pepper powder and lemon juice.
  11. Toss well and serve.
