Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Basmati rice -1/2 cup
  2. French beans 1/3 cup
  3. Carrot 1/3 cup
  4. Blanched peas 1/4 cup
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Coriander leaves
  7. Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Star anise 1
  10. Black cardamom 1
  11. Cumin seeds -1 tsp
  12. Bayleaf 2
  13. Cinnamon stick 1
  14. Butter 2 tbs
  15. Oil 1.5-2tsp

Instructions

  1. KEEP 2.5 CUPS WATER TO BOIL
  2. ADD 1 EACH OF A CINNAMON STICK & STAR ANISE
  3. ADD 1 TSP OIL
  4. ADD 1/2 TSP SALT
  5. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  6. ADD 1/2 CUP SOAKED RICE
  7. STIR & COOK FOR 8-10 MINS
  8. WHEN DONE, TAKE OFF HEAT
  9. STRAIN & KEEP ASIDE
  10. HEAT 2 TBSP BUTTER
  11. ADD 1.5 TSP OIL
  12. ADD 1 BLACK CARDAMOM
  13. ADD 2 BAYLEAVES
  14. ADD 4-5 CLOVES
  15. ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS
  16. ADD 1/4 CUP FRENCH BEANS
  17. ADD 1/4 CUP CARROTS
  18. STIR & COOK FOR 3-4 MINS
  19. ADD 1/4 CUP BLANCHED PEAS, COOK FOR 3-4 MINS
  20. ADD THE RICE
  21. STIR CONTINUOUSLY FOR 1 MINUTE
  22. ADD 1 TSP PEPPER POWDER
  23. ADD SALT TO TASTE
  24. MIX WELL FOR 2-3 MINS
  25. TAKE OFF HEAT, ADD 1/4 CUP FRESH CORIANDER
  26. SERVE HOT
