Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Kodo Millet / Varagu Arisi 1 cup
  2. Water 2 cups
  3. Milk 1 cup
  4. Curd 1 tea spoon
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Finely chopped green chillies, curry leaves and ginger few
  7. Oil 1 tea spoon
  8. Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Asafoetida powder 1/4 tea spoon

Instructions

  1. Wash the Kodomillet and pressure cook to 4 whistles adding water and milk.
  2. Once the steam is released mash it well adding salt and allow to cool down. Let it be little watery. So that while the time of consuming, it will be in right consistency.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of curd and mix well.
  4. Heat oil and do the seasoning with mustard, chillies, curry leaves, asafoetida and ginger and add to the rice.
  5. Transfer it to the lunch box.
