ABOUT Vegetable daliya pulav RECIPE

This is a fibre rich broken wheat variation of daliya. The carrots and all the vegetables add the necessary crunch along with wealth of vitamin A.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Daliya - 1 cup
  2. Moong dal - 1/2 cup
  3. Chopped onion - 2
  4. Chopped tomatoes - 2
  5. Chopped potato - 1
  6. Chopped green chilli - 1
  7. Salt
  8. Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
  9. Asafoetida (Hing) - 1/4th tsp
  10. Red chilli pwdr - 1/2 tsp
  11. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  12. Ghee - 2 tbspn
  13. Turmuric - 1/2 tsp
  14. Peas - 1 cup
  15. Chopped carrot - 1
  16. Chopped cauliflower - 1/2 cup
  17. Chopped cabbage - 1/2 cup
  18. Water - 3 cup
  19. Grated ginger - 1 inch

Instructions

  1. Roast the porridge on medium flame 5 mins. We will make daliya in pressure cooker.
  2. Add 3 cup water for 1 cup daily a cook until it simmerss once.
  3. Take rest of the ghee in pan add cumin seeds asafoetida and onion 2 mins for cook and all veg ginger and saute for 5 mins.
  4. Add tomatoes coriander leaves and salt as well. Cook for 2 mins. Add daily a and mix nicely.
  5. Dailya pulao is ready. Take it out in a serving bowl.
