ABOUT Jaggery cooked rice ball RECIPE

Cooked white rice is used to prepare rice balls and it is immensed in Jaggery syrup. It gives good taste and flavor. Kids like it have along breakfast and lunch. In Mangalore region people like more sweet recipes.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cup Cooked white rice
  2. 1 1/2 cup Jaggery
  3. 2 cup water
  4. 4 tsp cornflour
  5. 1 vanilla stick
  6. 1 tsp cardamom seeds
  7. A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. GRIND SMOOTHLY THE COOKED WHITE RICE
  2. GROUND RICE
  3. ADD 4 TSP OF CORNFLOUR, MIX WELL
  4. GREASE THE PALM WITH SOME GHEE
  5. DO SMALL GOOSEBERRY SIZED BALLS OUT OF THE DOUGH
  6. TAKE JAGGERY, ADD WATER
  7. ADD VANILLA STICK AND CARDAMOM SEEDS, BRING IT TO BOIL
  8. ADD A PINCH OF SALT, THE SYRUP IS READY
  9. TRANSFER THE BALLS IN TO BOILING SYRUP
  10. LET IT BE COOK 5 MINUTES IN LOW FLAME
  11. TURN OFF THE FLAME, LET IT BE COOL
  12. SEE THE SOFTNESS
  13. READY TO SERVE
