Desi Sweet

Ingredients to make Desi Sweet

  • 1 packet digestive biscuits
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 kg milk
  • 2 tsp strawberry puree/ syrup
  • 2 tbsp hung curd
  • 1 tbsp strawberry jam
  • 3-4 tsp sugar (powdered)
  • Silver balls and munchies to garnish
  • Few drops Strawberry essence

How to make Desi Sweet

  1. Blend the biscuits in a grinder to a fine crush. Add equal amount of butter and mix. Keep aside.
  2. Boil milk and form fine chenna. Mash chenna with palms.
  3. Blend together hung curd, chenna and sugar. Add strawberry essence to it.
  4. Divide the mix into two parts. To one part add strawberry puree/strawberry syrup and keep aside.
  5. To assemble : Take a mould on plate. Place the bottom layer of biscuit mix. Top it with layer of white chenna mix.
  6. Top it with strawberry mix layer. Let it set for awhile in fridge.
  7. Garnish with strawberry jam heart , silver balls and munchies.
My Tip: There should not be any water in the.hung curd used.
