  • Butter (unsalted) 25g
  • Golden syrup 2 tbsp
  • Milk chocolate, chopped 150g

How to make Valentine’s Chocolate-Dipped Rice Krispie Treats (Heart Shaped)

  1. Place the butter and syrup in a small pan and heat gently until the butter has melted.
  2. Add the milk chocolate and stir until it has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Stir in the rice crispies until well coated in chocolate.
  4. Line a baking tray with butter paper/baking parchment and place teaspoonfuls in a heart shape cutter onto the paper.
  5. Allow to cool in the fridge for 10 minutes until firm.
  6. Meanwhile, in microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips in 30-second intervals on low until almost melted. Continue to stir until completely melted.
  7. Dip one side of rice crispy treat heart into melted chocolate. Immediately add valentine sprinkles after dipping each one in chocolate so they stuck well before the chocolate starts to harden.
  8. Place on lined baking sheet and place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, until chocolate is set.
  9. Such a delightful treat, and super cute! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
  10. Best if served same day.
My Tip: 1. Store in air-tight container for 2 days. 2. Drizzle white chocolate over them for a decorative contrast. 3. They would be adorable wrapped in cellophane bags and tied with a red or pink ribbon. 4. This sweet treat is perfect for any occasion. They make a lovely homemade gift for your friends, teachers and relatives when decorated with sprinkles, ribbons and boxed up creatively.
