Whole Wheat Paneer Naan/Bhatura

Ingredients to make Whole Wheat Paneer Naan/Bhatura

  • Whole wheat Flour 3 cups
  • 2 pinch soda bicarbonate
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 2 bread slices sides removed dipped in water and squeezed
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Areated soda water 1 bottle
  • Paneer 175 grams
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • Green chilli 1 or 2, finelychopped
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Coriander leaves a few
  • Nigella seeds - 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
  • Butter as required
  • Salt as per taste

How to make Whole Wheat Paneer Naan/Bhatura

  1. Mix whole wheat flour, soda bicarbonate, salt and sugar together.
  2. Add curd and mix well.
  3. Add bread which is squeezed in water. Add in enough aerated water to make a dough.
  4. Leave to rise for 4-5 hours.
  5. To Make the Paneer stuffing: Crumble the paneer, add onions, red chilli powder, salt,green chillies and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  6. Take the dough and roll out a chapathi and put the stuffing in the center. Pull the dough from all the sides and close. Pat down slightly and roll again.
  7. Roll the stuffed dough again into a chapathi. If you want bhatura then fry it in hot oil and drain on a kitchen towel.
  8. If you want to make naan, roll the rough into an oblong shape and spread some sesame seed, nigeela seeds and coriander seeds on top.
  9. Bake the Naan in a preheated oven at 300 degree centigrade for 7-10 minutes, apply butter and serve hot.
