This is a healthy version of handvo which is a perfect breakfast option and is very easy to make as well.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/4 cup tuver daal
  2. 1 tsp urad daal
  3. 1 tsp moong daal
  4. 1 tsp chana daal
  5. 1/4 cup curd
  6. 1/2 cup rice
  7. 3/4 greated bottlegourd
  8. Oil as required
  9. 2 tsp Lemon juice
  10. A pinch of soda
  11. 1/4 tsp chilly powder
  12. 1 tsp ginger chilli paste
  13. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  14. 1/2 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Clean wash and soak daals,rice and water for at least 4 to 5 hours then drain and keep inside.
  2. Blend the dal ,rice in a mixture
  3. At the bottle gourd 1 tbsp oil lemon juice soda bicarbonate sugar chili powder turmeric powder salt and mix well
  4. Heat the oil . In a pan addmustard seeds ,Sesame seeds and carrom seeds and asfoetida and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  5. Pour batter evenly to make a thick layer.
  6. Cover and cook on a slow flame .till the base turn golden brown.
  7. Lift the handvo turn it to the other side.
  8. Serve hot.
