Tawa Chicken Kheema

Ingredients to make Tawa Chicken Kheema

  • chicken mince 400 gm
  • ginger mince 1 tsp
  • garlic mince 1 tsp
  • Green chilli paste 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric 1/2 a tsp
  • oil 3 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Ground cumin 1 tsp
  • Cubeb powder (Tailed pepper)
  • onions thinly sliced large 1
  • coriander leaves finely chopped 1/4th cup

How to make Tawa Chicken Kheema

  1. In a kadai, heat oil and add the ginger garlic paste along with chilli paste.
  2. Saute all for a minute.
  3. Now saute thinly sliced onions until translucent.
  4. Add chicken mince now.
  5. Throw in rest of the spices too.
  6. Saute it on a medium high heat until the raw smell fades away.
  7. Keep stirring in between.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and adjust salt at this stage.
  9. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well.
  10. Serve it with naans, parathas or fried rice.
  11. This can be used as a filling for samosas, patties and baida rotis too.

My Tip:

Use a strainer with very small holes for the rinsing of this mince.
