ABOUT Jelly Cookies... RECIPE

Easy and scrumptious cookies that are made with jelly crystals and can be made in a variety of colours and flavours. Give it a go folks. Melt in mouth, colourful cookies are a treat to the tastebuds. Little tangy too due to the strawberry flavour that i chose. These are a little different than the normal ones both in terms of looks and taste as well. Happy Baking !!!!!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 6

Strawberry jelly pack 1 (170 gm)
All purpose flour 1 1/2 cups
Butter 100 gm
Egg 1
Caster sugar 1/4th cup
Baking powder 1 tsp
Baking soda 1/2 tsp
Vanilla essence 1 tbsp

Instructions

Beat sugar and butter until creamy.
Whisk an egg into it along with the vanilla essence.
Mix all the dry ingredients well.
Fold the dry ingredients in this butter egg mix little by little.
The dough should be a smooth and pliable one.
Keep it refrigerated for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°.
Start pinching golf sized balls out of the dough and roll between your palms until smooth.
Press on top gently with a fork to give a nice design to them.
Arrange all on a parchment lined baking tray.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Let them cool a bit before digging into them.
Enjoy with a cup of hot chocolate.
