ABOUT Bajre moong ki khichdi RECIPE

Its an authentic traditional healthy recipe with the high protein content of moong daal and carbohydrates of millet grains

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2cups millet grains
  2. Half cup split moong pulses
  3. 1/4 cup rice
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  6. Asoefodia 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Clarified butter 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak millet grains separately
  2. Wash and soak rice and pulse together
  3. Grind very coarsely millet grains to remove their peel
  4. Wash 3 to 4 times to remove the peel off
  5. Like this
  6. Now put on a pressure cooker
  7. Add millet grains,rice and pulse in pressure cooker
  8. Add salt to taste
  9. Add 3 glasses of water
  10. Cook for 15 minutes on very slow flame
  11. Like this
  12. Now turned off the flame
  13. Make a tadka of ghee , cumin seeds and asoefodia
  14. Add this tadka in khichdi
  15. Serve hot with curd , chutney
