ABOUT Vegetable masala khichdi RECIPE

This is a quick recipe of one pot meal, made with loads of vegetables, a perfect and quick healthy recipe for all times.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup rice
  2. 1/3 cup moong daal
  3. 1/4 cup tuver daal
  4. 1/4 cup chana daal
  5. 1 tsp ghee
  6. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  7. 1 tej patta [bay leaf]
  8. 1/2 inch cinnamon
  9. 1 cloves
  10. 1 chopped onion
  11. 1 tsp ginger chilli paste
  12. 1 brinjle chopped
  13. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  14. 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
  15. 1 spoon peanut.
  16. 1 pinch asfoetida
  17. 3 cup water
  18. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash rice and daal.
  2. Also chop the veggies and keep aside.
  3. Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pressure cooker.Add the spices-'cumin seeds, tej patta, cinnamon,cloves,saute till the spices crackles.
  4. Add all the veggies,paste.
  5. Add all the spices.Add the rice and daal.
  6. Pressure cook for 3 whistle.
