Homemade oats vermicelli

Ingredients to make Homemade oats vermicelli

  • 1 cup oats
  • ½ cup wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 onion ( long cutting )
  • 1 capsicum chopped
  • 50 gm cabbage chopped
  • 2 carrot chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp maggi masala
  • 2 tbsp coriander chopped( for garnish)

How to make Homemade oats vermicelli

  1. In a jar add oats and grind it.
  2. 1 cup oats flour, ½ cup whole wheat flour.
  3. In a bowl mix oats powder, wheat flour and add water to make a hard dough.
  4. Our dough is ready.
  5. Grease the mould.
  6. Fill the dough into mould.
  7. Make vermicelli from the dough.
  8. Sun dry the vermicelli for 3 - 4 days.
  9. Make sure their is no moisture left.
  10. Dry roast the vermicelli in a pan.
  11. In a wok add oil and cumin seeds, add onion and saute for few minutes.
  12. Add capsicum and saute it.
  13. Add chopped cabbage and saute it.
  14. Add chopped carrot and saute for 3 - 4 minutes.
  15. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix well.
  16. Add 2 cup water and boil it.
  17. Now add maggi masala.
  18. Add tomato ketchup and mix well.
  19. Add roasted vermicelli mix well and cook for 7 - 8 minutes.
  20. Our home made oats vermicelli is ready to serve.
