Ingredients to make Hyderabadi kacchi murgh dum biryani

  • 700 grams chicken
  • 3 Cup rice
  • 3 table spoon red chilli powder
  • 1 table spoon coriander powder
  • 1 table spoon garam masala
  • 1 table spoon cummin powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 table spoon turmeric powder
  • 3 table spoon ginger garlic paste
  • 4-5 whole chillies
  • Barista( fried onion)crushed
  • Organic food colour
  • mint leaves
  • coriander leaves
  • Whole garam masala ( cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, shahijeera,black pepper,
  • lemon juice
  • 1 cup curd
  • Milk 2 table spoon
  • 3-4 table spoon oil
  • 2 table spoon ghee

How to make Hyderabadi kacchi murgh dum biryani

  1. Wash & clean the chicken
  2. In a bowl take chicken add ginger garlic paste, curd, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, dhaniya powder. Cummin powder, salt, garam masala,and mix
  3. Now add curd
  4. sprinkle Coriander leaves
  5. Add chopped mint leaves
  6. Whole green chillies
  7. 3-4 table spoon oil
  8. Add crushed fried onion
  9. Lemon juice
  10. Mix well with hand, & keep for marination
  11. Soak rice
  12. Ina big vessel boil the water
  13. Add salt
  14. Whole garam masala
  15. Drops of lemonjuice
  16. Let it boil
  17. When water boils add rice
  18. Cook only 75-80%
  19. Once cooked drain the water
  20. In same vessel spread marinated chicken
  21. On top of the chicken spread rice layer
  22. Add oil n little ghee over it
  23. Spread food colour mixed with milk
  24. Sprinkle fried onion
  25. Sprinkle mint n coriander leaves
  26. On top again add little oil or ghee
  27. Keep it on dum by covering the lid properly
  28. Cook on dum for 15-20 mins.

My Tip:

After biryani is done dont open thd lid immediately.
