Soy Manchurian

Ingredients to make Soy Manchurian

  • 1 cup Soy chunks soaked
  • 2 no. of capsicum diced
  • 2 medium size onion chopped
  • 6-7 green chillies Sliced in halves
  • 10-12 garlic Cloves chopped
  • 10-12 Black pepper crushed
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp chilli sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp vineger
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 1 Tbsp Refined oil

How to make Soy Manchurian

  1. Heat up Oil in a Pan or a Wok (Kadhai).
  2. Add chopped Garlic and fry for 1 min.
  3. Add chopped Onion and fry it till turns translucent. Do not allow Onions to brown. Cook until the Onions are translucent and soft but have not started to brown.
  4. Now add Green Chillies and fry it.
  5. Add Soy and Chilli sauces.
  6. Now add soaked Soy chunks, stir-fry well.
  7. Now add Red Chilli powder, diced Capcicum and Onion.
  8. Add Salt and Black pepper.
  9. Mix Cornflour in one cup of water and add it to the preparation and give it a quick thorough stir for a few seconds. Don't let it cook.
  10. Serve hot with Chapatis or Rice on the side.

My Tip:

Do not let the onions and garlic brown for the perfect flavour.
