ABOUT Karacha Maavu Dosai RECIPE

This is a simple recipe of dosa, very healthy and very easy to make.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
  2. Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  3. Semolina - 2 tbs
  4. Finger millet flour - 1/4 cup
  5. Pearl millet flour - 1/4 cup
  6. Sorghum flour - 1/4 cup
  7. Chick pea flour - 2 tbs
  8. Green chilly - 2 chopped
  9. Flax seeds - 3 tbs powdered
  10. Onion(finely chopped)
  11. Curry leaves (roughly chopped)
  12. Salt
  13. Coriander leaves
  14. Water - 3 cups
  15. Oil

Instructions

  1. Take all the flours and fine rava in a mixing bowl.
  2. To this add the salt,chopped onion,green chilly,curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  3. Mix it well with water and the batter should be thinner than the regular dosa batter.
  4. Heat a griddle and one it becomes hot ,add a drop of oil and wipe it off with a paper and keep the flame in medium.
  5. Pour a ladleful of batter in a circular motion from outside to inside
  6. Fill the gaps with the batter.Increase the flame and cook it for a minute.
  7. Now drizzle a tsp of oil and cook it till the edges turn brown.
  8. Reduce the flame and let the dosa gets crisp, remove it from the pan.
  9. If needed flip it and cook it for another minute and remove it.
