Cabbage kofta/curry

Ingredients to make Cabbage kofta/curry

  • cabbage 1/2 kg
  • besan 1cup
  • tomatoes 3-4
  • ginger 1 inch
  • garlic 5-6 cloves
  • Green chilli 1
  • coriander powder 1tsp
  • Kashmiri lal mirch powder 1tsp
  • salt to taste
  • haldi powder 1/2 tsb
  • Garm masala 1/2 tsb
  • cumin seed
  • oil
  • water

How to make Cabbage kofta/curry

  1. Crush cabbage or cut into small pieces. Add salt and coriander powder and then add half of besan. Mix all the ingredient and make small balls of mixture.
  2. Heat the oil in pan and deep fry cabbage balls. Add tomatoes, ginger,garlic & green chilli in blender jar and make smooth mixture.
  3. Heat one tbsp oil in pan add cumin seed , coriander powder, kashmiri lal mirch , haldi powder saute. Add tomato mixture in it. Wait till the oil separates.
  4. Add remaining besan in tomato mixture and mix it well. Wait for 5-7 min and stir continuous so that there is no lumps in the mixture. Add water according to desired thickness and wait till one boil .
  5. Add cabbage balls and cook for another few minutes. Serve hot with chapatti.

My Tip:

Add little water in besan and make a smooth mixture before adding it in pan to avoid lumps.
