  • urad dal - 1 1/2 cup
  • onion - 1 medium
  • green chillies-1 or 2
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste

  1. SOAK THE DAL IN WATER FOR COUPLE OF HOURS, THEN STRAIN AND MAKE A SMOOTH PASTE OF THE DAL. ADD 1 ONION, 1 GREEN CHILLI, 1 TSP CUMIN TO THE BATTER.
  2. ADD SALT TO TASTE, MIX
  3. TAKE SOME BATTER IN YOUR HANDS, MAKE A HOLE IN THE CENTRE, SLIP INTO HOT OIL
  4. FRY ON BOTH SIDES TILL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP
  5. REMOVE ON ABSORBENT PAPER
