Veg Pasta In red sauce

Ingredients to make Veg Pasta In red sauce

  • Any pasta of your choice 150 gm
  • Red garlic mushroom pasta sauce 4 Tb
  • 1 Tb oil
  • Cleaned and chopped mixed veggies of your choice 150 gm
  • water as needed
  • salt as needed
  • 1 Tb oregano powder
  • 2 Tb unsalted butter
  • 1 Tb red chilli flakes (optional)
  • 2 Tb mixed herbs powder
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese(mozzarella preferably)
  • handful of parsley leaves

How to make Veg Pasta In red sauce

  1. Bring the pasta to boil in a saucepan using 2 cups of water and 1 Tb oil
  2. Reduce heat and cook covered until soft
  3. In another saucepan/wok boil the veggies for 5-7 minutes and strain them and keep aside
  4. Strain the pasta if any excess water and keep aside
  5. Heat butter in a wok and add the boiled veggies in it
  6. Sauté for 2-3 minutes on high heat
  7. reduce heat and add the red sauce and condiments and mix well
  8. Add 1/2 cup water and pasta and combine well
  9. cook covered and let simmer on Low heat for 5-7 minutes till you achieve the desired consistency
  10. Take off heat and garnish with grated cheese and parsley
