  • 1/2 cup horse gram
  • 4 heaped tbsp bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 3/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • oil for shallow frying

How to make Horse gram cutlets

  1. DRAIN EXCESS WATER, ADD HORSE GRAM WITH 2 CUPS OF WATER TO A PRESSURE COOKER
  2. PRESSURE COOK FOR 10 MINUTES OR 3 WHISTLES
  3. OPEN THE LID AND ALLOW TO COOL
  4. STRAIN THE LIQUID USING A STRAINER
  5. TAKE THE COOKED HORSE GRAM IN A MIXER JAR
  6. ADD 2 TBSP WATER AND GRIND TO A PASTE
  7. TRANSFER TO A BOWL, ADD 4 TBSP BREAD CRUMBS, 2 TBSP RICE FLOUR, 3/4 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER AND SALT
  8. ADD 1 ONION FINELY CHOPPED AND 3/4 TSP GARAM MASALA POWDER
  9. COMBINE EVERYTHING TOGETHER
  10. TAKE SMALL BALLS AND MAKE PATTIES
  11. KEEP READY
  12. HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND SHALLOW FRY THE CUTLETS
  13. TURN OVER AND COOK ON THE OTHER SIDE
  14. ONCE DONE PLACE THE CUTLETS OVER TISSUE PAPER
