ABOUT South Indian Dhokla RECIPE

It's healthy and tasty dhokla recipe which is made with idli batter.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Idli batter - 2 cups [ready made or homemade ]
  2. Salt - to taste
  3. Oil - 2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take idli batter and Transfer to a flat bottom pot that has been lightly greased with some oil, and can fit inside a pressure cooker.
  2. Cook in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes, on high heat, without keeping the whistle. Remember to start the timer only after a steady jet of steam starts coming out of the pressure cooker.
  3. After 20 minutes, turn off the heat, wait for a few minutes, and then open the lid.
  4. Remove the dhokla and allow to cool completely.
  5. Delicious 'dhokla' from 'idli' batter is ready to serve.
  6. Serve with peanut Chutney or coconut Chutney.
