Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 Cup - Besan/Chickpeas Flour
  2. 1 - Large Onion
  3. 4 - Green Chilies
  4. 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  5. 2 cups - water
  6. To Taste - Salt
  7. 1 tbsp - oil
  8. 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
  9. 5-6 - Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. Peel and finely chop onion, green chillies.
  2. Mix besan with water without any lumps and keep aside.
  3. In a pan or wok heat oil add mustard seeds and allow to splutter.
  4. Add chopped onion, green chillis and mix well.
  5. Add curry leaves and saute until golden brown.
  6. Saute onion until soft and translucent, add turmeric powder, mix and cook for a minute.Add water to the mixture. Once its start boiling,
  7. Now add salt and besan batter and mix well.
  8. Cook in slow to medium flame until besan mixture comes to boil and starts thicken and raw smell goes, do stir in intervals.
  9. Switch off flame when desire consistency reached (chutney will thicken when it cools too so don't thicken it very much while cooking).
  10. Serve hot, warm with idly, poori, dosa.
