Ingredients to make Chilli paneer

  • FOR BATTER
  • corn flour 2 tsp
  • maida 2 tsp
  • ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt as required
  • water 1/4 cup
  • For FRYING paneer
  • oil 3 tsp
  • paneer 200 gms( cut in cubes)
  • For chilli PANEER GRAVY
  • spring onions 2small
  • green chillies 3
  • chopped ginger 2tsp
  • chopped garlic 2 tsp
  • capsicum 1
  • soya sauce 2 tsp
  • red chilli sauce 1tsp
  • black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • water 1/2 cup
  • cornflour 1 tsp

How to make Chilli paneer

  1. In a bowl take 2 tsp cornflour. Then add 3 tsp maida .Add finely chopped ginger garlic , black pepper powder , chilli powder, and salt as required...
  2. Add 1/4 cup water. Mix well to get a smooth batter without any lumps.
  3. Now add paneer cubes in the batter. with a spoon gently coat the paneer cubes with the batter.
  4. Heat 3 tsp oil in a frying pan. fry the paneer..if one side is done , flip it and fry the other side.
  5. Remove the fried paneer cubes and place tem on kitchen towels...
  6. In the same pan add ginger, garlic, green chillies, spring onions, capsicum...stir fry on medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes
  7. Add red chilli powder , soya sauce stir and mix the sauces...Add 1/2 cup water mix well
  8. Let the mixture come to a simmer on medium flame .take 1 tap cornflour in a small bowl..add 2 tsp water for dissolving flour...mix very well to get a smooth paste...Add this paste to the gravy...Add 1/2tsp sugar and salt as per taste...
  9. Mix very well and simmer till the chilli paneer sauce has thickened and the corn flour has cooked....
  10. Add the fried paneer cubes...mix panner cubes very well with the gravy...
  11. Add 2 to 3 tsp of chopped spring onions....mix very well and serve it...
