ABOUT Chicken Bezule RECIPE

Chicken Bezule is quite popular in Karnataka and sold on the streets of coastal areas like Mangalore.This is prepared using boneless chicken pieces.This can be served as a perfect cocktail party appetizer.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken (boneless,cut into pieces) -500gms
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
  4. Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
  5. Curd - 1tbsp
  6. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  7. Maida- 1 1/2 tbsp
  8. Rice flour- 1 1/2 tbsp
  9. kashmiri chilly powder - 2 tbsp
  10. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  11. Green chilly -5
  12. Garlic -6 cloves
  13. Ginger-1"piece
  14. Oil - for frying

Instructions

  1. Grind curry leaves, coriander leaves, ginger garlic, green chilly into a coarse paste. Transfer the paste into a bowl and add chilly powder, garam masala powder, rice flour, maida, lemon juice, curd, salt and mix well.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to it and mix well.Marinate for at least 4 hours. Heat oil in a pan.Deep fry till both sides are brown in color
  3. Garnish with fried curry leaves and green chilly. Serve hot as appetizer or cocktail snack.
