ABOUT Fish curry RECIPE

Very delicious and healthy recipe of fish that can be served with just steamed rice on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fish 1/2 kg
  2. For marinate
  3. Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
  4. Lemon juice - 2 lemons
  5. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. For gravy
  8. Ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp
  9. Onion paste ( 5 medium sized)
  10. Tomato ( 4 medium sized)
  11. Moti elichi - 2
  12. Kali mirch - 5 counts
  13. Cinnamon stick - 1 small
  14. Cloves - 4 counts
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  17. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  18. Garm masala - 1 tsb
  19. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsb
  20. Kashmiri lal mirch powder - 1 tsb
  21. Kasturi methi - 1 tsb
  22. Oil - 3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Firstly marinate fish with ginger garlic paste, salt ,turmeric powder and lemon juice. Keep aside for 25 - 30 min.
  2. Now heat the oil in heavy bottom pan and add moti elichi [green cardamom] , cloves, cinnamon stick, black pepper and saute for few sec.
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste and fry it till golden brown
  4. Next add onion paste and fry till oil comes out the corners.
  5. Add tomato paste and fry on slow medium heat till oil separates.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, garam masala, kasturi methi (crushed with palm) and fry for next few min.
  7. Add water as per required thickness of gravy and boil it so that all the oil comes up on surface.
  8. Add fish and heat for next 10 min. Healthy fish is ready to serve.
