Nankhathai biscuits are my favourite biscuits. If some times i am uneasy,not in mood,disturbed these biscuits with a cup of tea can fight with all emotional problems. I do many experiments with these biscuits.today i made rose,pista and saffron nankhathai.hope you all love them.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup ghee
  2. 1 cup powder sugar
  3. 2 cup flour
  4. 2 tsp cardmon powder
  5. 1/2 tsp rose essence
  6. Pink colour
  7. 1/2 tsp pista essence
  8. Green colour
  9. Few saffron strands
  10. 1 tsp lukewarm milk for soak saffron
  11. Pista almond flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Take ghee and sugar
  2. Whisk them
  3. Sieve flour and mix in ghee mix
  4. Add cardmon powder
  5. Mix all of them and bring together
  6. Now devide this in 3 parts
  7. Take rose essence and pink colour and mix in mixture
  8. Not mix finely then it will come shaded
  9. In second part add pista essence and green colour
  10. Soak saffron in lukewarm milk
  11. Mix saffron mix and yellow colour in third part
  12. Now devide each part in same size balls
  13. Roll in palm and press a little
  14. On rose cookies set some pista on top in center
  15. On pista cookies set some almonds
  16. And on saffron cookies add again some pista
  17. Bake them in preheated ovan for 15 min at 180 degree
  18. Let them cool for 30 min.
  19. Ready to serve
