ABOUT Whole Wheat Soya Tikki Burger RECIPE

As we all know Burgers are kids most favorite and it is also my daughter's most favorite. So i decided to make it with whole wheat flour instead of maida. Also made tikki with soya granuals and veggies. And the result came out delicious. My daugter loved it a lot. I hope your kids also will like it. Do try this easy and healthy burger recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  2. 2 tsp Dry active yeast
  3. 1 tblspn sugar
  4. 1/4 cup + Half Cup luke warm water
  5. 4 tblspn oil
  6. Half tsp salt
  7. 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  8. Milk for brushing
  9. *For Tikki*
  10. 1 cup soaked soya granules
  11. 1 boiled potato
  12. 1 grated carrot
  13. 1/2 cup boiled peas
  14. salt pepper to taste
  15. 1/4 tsp garam masala
  16. oil for shallow fry
  17. Few tomato slices
  18. Few Onion Slices
  19. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  20. 2-3 Tblspn Tomato ketchup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl take 1/4 cup warm water and sugar and yeast.
  2. Mix well and keep covered for 10 minutes.
  3. In a big bowl take whole wheat Flour add salt.
  4. Make a well in middle of flour add activated yeast mixture.
  5. Mix well and add 3 tblspn oil and knead a soft dough using more water.
  6. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes till smooth and nonsticky.
  7. Put the dough in a greased bowl and let it Rest this dough for atleast 2 Hours for proofing.
  8. After 2 hrs the dough will be doubled in the size.
  9. Punch the dough and knead it again for few minutes.
  10. Make 6 equal size balls from the dough and milk wash it.
  11. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on the top.
  12. Let it rest for 30 minutes for second proofing.
  13. After 30 minutes you will see the balls doubled in size.
  14. Bake it for 25-30 minutes on 190 degree.
  15. Once done take out and let the buns in tin for 10 minutes.
  16. After 10 minutes tale out and let it cool completely on wire rack.
  17. For Making Tikki take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  18. Make tikkis put of the dough and shallow fry or dip fry in hot oil.
  19. For assembling burger cut the burger buns and Roast on tawa using some butter.
  20. In a bowl mix together mayonnaise and ketchup.
  21. Apply mayonnaise mixture on burger bun.
  22. Put tikki on it.
  23. Tomato slices and onion slices.
  24. Put some more mayonnaise and cover with top of burger bun.
  25. Your healthy tasty Whole wheat Soya Tikki Burger is ready to relish.
