ABOUT Rice dal porridge RECIPE

Rice porridge is the best comfort food for all seasons and ages.Best served warm with pickle or spicy coconut chutney.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 3/4 cup rice
  2. 1/4 cup green gram dal
  3. 1 1/2 cup Coconut milk
  4. Water
  5. Salt

Instructions

  1. Add rice and dal to the pressure cooker.
  2. Add water 2 inches above the rice.
  3. Add salt and pressure cook for 8 -10 whistles.
  4. Open the cooker once the pressure settles.
  5. Mash the rice and add coconut milk.
  6. Serve hot with your favourite accompaniments.
