Spicy Paneer Burger

Ingredients to make Spicy Paneer Burger

  • For paneer patty: 4 thick slices of cottage cheese
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp tandoori masala
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying
  • For coating paneer patty: 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • water as required
  • Other ingredients: 4 burger buns
  • 4-5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Few lettuce leaves
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Few slices of cucumber, tomatoes and onions
  • Fries for serving (optional)

How to make Spicy Paneer Burger

  1. In a plate take bread crumbs, add all the masalas red chilli powder, garam masala, tandoori masala, salt, chaat masala, kasuri methi.
  2. Mix everything well.
  3. Take one thick slice of paneer, coat in flour from all sides and remove the excess.
  4. Now dip in flour water mixture and coat it nicely in bread crumbs from all sides.
  5. Similay prepare the rest of the paneer patty.
  6. Heat oil in a kadai, deep fry the patty till golden brown from all sides.
  7. Take it out on a tissue paper or kitchen towel to remove the excess oil.
  8. For assembling of burger: Cut the burger buns horizontally in two.
  9. Apply butter on both the sides of the burger buns and toast them on tava with some butter.
  10. Apply 1 tbsp of burger mayonnaise on the lower part of the burger bun.
  11. Keep lettuce leaves along with fried paneer patty.
  12. Arrange some slices of cucumber, tomatoes and onions.
  13. Keep the top part of the burger bun.
  14. Serve hot with fries and cold drink.

My Tip:

You can also use cheese slices.
