ABOUT Bhindi Masala(Okra Masala) RECIPE

bhindi masala gravy recipe a good home cooked delicious curry with bhindi or okra. i have kept the ingredients basic and not added stuff like cashews, poppy seeds, melon seeds, cream etc to thicken the gravy.But in this recipe I have aded some roasted peanut powder that is gives very good taste and thicknes the gravy anyone having indian spices and ingredients at home can easily make this delicious bhindi masala curry

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gms okra
  2. 1 onion's Paste
  3. 2 tomatoes paste
  4. 1/4cup roasted peanut powder
  5. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  6. 1 black cardamom
  7. 7_8 Black pepper corns
  8. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  9. 2 green chillies chopped
  10. 1 bay leaf
  11. 1 1/2tbsp oil
  12. 1tsp red chilli powder
  13. 1tsp coriander powder
  14. 1tsp garam masala powder
  15. Some chopped coriander leaves
  16. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. First clean and cut bhindis
  2. Take a pan add 1 tbsp oil and fry all Bhindi pieces and take a plate
  3. Now add black cardamom,cumin seeds,bay leaf,and green chilli saute this ingridients few seconds
  4. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute properly
  5. Nexy add onion paste give it a good mix add fry it in a medium flame when onions colour changed you can add tomato paste and all spices and salt also and give it a good mix
  6. Fry this2 Masala mix properly when oil is eaxtract in this masala you can add fryed okra and mix jently cook it 1 minute
  7. after 1 minute add 1/2 cup water and give it a good mix and cover the lid and cook it 2,3 minutes
  8. after 3 minutes add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame
  9. Okra Masala is ready to serve, you can serve this Bhindi Masala with Naan,Paratha,Roti,Steam rice and Jeera Rice also
