ABOUT Quinoa-Tofu RECIPE

This is a simple yet tasty burger recipe. The quinoa and tofu patties not only add flavour and taste to the burger but are very healthy as well.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Quinoa cooked 1 cup
  2. Tofu 200 gms mashed
  3. 1 potato - Boiled, pealed and mashed
  4. Salt
  5. 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  6. 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  7. 1/2 tsp Amchur powder
  8. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  9. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  10. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  11. Burger Bun - 6
  12. Dr. Oetker Veg Mayonese
  13. Cheese slices - 6
  14. 1 Tomato cut into thin round slices
  15. 1 Onion cut into thin round slices
  16. Lettuce leave a few
  17. Tomato Sauce 1 tbsp
  18. Little oil for frying tikkis

Instructions

  1. For preparing Quinoa-Tofu tikki mix cooked and mashed quinoa, tofu and potato in a bowl.
  2. In this add all the dry masala powder and salt.
  3. Divide this mixture into 6 equal parts and make small round balls out of these. Now press them to give the shape of tikkis or paties.
  4. Now fry these tikkis on a sauce pan on both sides by adding little oil till the tikkis are crisp and golden brown in colour.
  5. Take the bun cut it at the middle. Now apply sauce on both the inner sides on the bun
  6. on the bottom piece of the bun place lettuce leaves, an onion piece, a tomato piece, tikkie. Now spread the veg mayonnaise on top of the tikki.again add a tomato, onion and lettuce leaves.
  7. spread mayonnaise once again and place the other half of the bun on top of this.
