Fruit Kebabs

Ingredients to make Fruit Kebabs

  • 1/2 small watermelon (chopped in big chunks)
  • 1 small honeydew (chopped in big chunks)
  • 1 small melon (chopped in big chunks)
  • 12 fresh strawberries (cut in halves)
  • 1 medium mango (chopped in big chunks)
  • Handful of grapes
  • honey for drizzling
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • lemon wedges for garnishing
  • Pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 12-14 wooden thin skewers

How to make Fruit Kebabs

  1. Soak all the wooden skewers 20 minutes prior to prep.
  2. Keep all the fruits handy in a line, kept in separate bowls. Start with piercing the skewer in a grape, then strawberry, then a chunk of mango, then honeydew, again strawberry and melon. Finish it with a grape again.
  3. Arrange all the skewers this way one at a time. Heat a sizzling plate on stove top with a drizzle of sesame oil.
  4. Once hot arrange 2 skewers at a time and grill them for 30 seconds each side. Lower the flame if needed.
  5. After all skewers are done, arrange them in a serving palate. Drizzle a little honey, pinch of salt, pinch of pepper and a pinch of cinnamon powder on top.
  6. Garnish with a couple of lemon wedge on side and serve as it is.

My Tip:

If you don't have access to a sizzler, then just grill the kebabs in a preheated oven on 150d Celsius for 2-4 minutes. Soaking the skewers makes it easy to work with and little sprints of fine wood don't fall off in your food.
