Fish is one of the staple food in kerala and they like to fry their fish a lot…This recipe is one of the typical keralan dish…I used coconut oil to fry the fish like the keralan do..but you can use any oil as you like..

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. King Fish Steaks( Any Fish fillets)- 4 piece
  2. Coconut oil-5 tblspn
  3. First Marinate:
  4. Turmeric powder-1 tsp
  5. Lemon juice-2 tsp
  6. Salt –1 tsp
  7. Second Marinate: red chilli powder-1 tblspn
  8. Ginger Garlic Paste-1 tblspn
  9. Coriander powder-1 tblspn
  10. Pepper-1 tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Lemon juice-2 tblspn

Instructions

  1. Take the fish fillets and marinate it with salt,turmeric and lemon juice.
  2. In a mixing bowl mix chilli powder,coriander powder,ginger garlic paste,pepper,salt and lemon juice together and form a thick paste..If it is too thick you can add a little water to this..
  3. Now apply this paste to the marinating fish fillets and let it rest for 30 min.
  4. Heat coconut oil in a tawa and fry the fish on both sides till golden and completely cooked through.
  5. Garnish it with onion rings and lemon .. Serve with rice..
