Ingredients to make Chukkakura Chana dal curry

  • 3 cups Chukkakura - chopped
  • 1 cup chana dal- boiled
  • 1 onion - medium size, chopped
  • 1 green chilli, chopped
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 tsp tumeric
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • to taste salt

How to make Chukkakura Chana dal curry

  1. Heat 2tsp oil in a pan, add jeera , once the seeds start to splutter add the onion, green chilies and tumeric.
  2. Cook until it starts smelling fragrant and turns golden.
  3. Next add the chopped greens, boiled chana dal and mix well.
  4. Add red chilli powder and salt.
  5. Simmer for 6~8 minutes for the flavors to mingle.
  6. If the curry looks too thick, add some water.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
