It is a simple and healthy dish which gives you taste and nutrition both. Paneer and matar both are rich source of protein. With simple flavours it can be best main dish with rice or chapati.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green peas 2 cup
  2. Paneer 250 gm
  3. Onion 1 chopped
  4. Ginger 1 teaspoon chopped
  5. Green chillies 1 chopp
  6. Tomato 3 chopped
  7. Almond paste 3 tablespoon
  8. Cashew paste 2 tablespoon
  9. Poppy seeds paste 2 tablespoon
  10. Salt 1 teaspoon or to taste
  11. Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Cumin seeds powder 1 teaspoon
  14. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  15. Kitchen king masala 1 teaspoon
  16. Cloves 3
  17. Green caradamom 3
  18. Bay leaves 2
  19. Cinnamon 1 stick
  20. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  21. Ghee 2 tablespoon
  22. Water 1 cup
  23. Coriander leaves chopped

Instructions

  1. Put ghee into a pan and add all dry whole masalas (cloves, caradamom, bay leaves, cinnamon). Roast for 2 minutes.
  2. Add chopped onion, ginger and garlic. Saute it. Till it becomes golden brown.
  3. Let it cool. Make puree of tomatoes. Now make puree of the onion masala. Remove all the whole masalas..
  4. Now heat pan with a little amount of ghee and add onion puree and roast till it starts leaving sides. Add tomato puree and cook till masala leaves oil.
  5. Add salt , red chili powder , turmeric powder and green chillies. Saute it and add almond , poppy seeds, and cashew paste. Saute it for 2 minutes. Add kitchen king masala and add green peas and saute it for sometime. Add water and sugar and cook till peas become tender.
  6. Add chopped paneer and let it simmer for few minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Serve it with roti or parantha or rice.
