About Kesariya Firni Recipe

A perfect dessert to eat after a Mughlai dish.

Kesariya Firni

Ingredients to make Kesariya Firni

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/4 cup of rice paste
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 drop of Rose water
  • Few pistachios
  • Few silver vark to garnish
  • A pinch of saffron

How to make Kesariya Firni

  1. Boil the milk, then let it simmer for another 20 mins.
  2. Now add in sugar and the rice paste. Once again boil it and stir continuously for 15 mins. (During this time, check if the mixture thickens but make sure no lumps are formed.)
  3. Then add in the saffron and mix well. Turn off the stove and add rose water.
  4. Now pour this hot phirni in earthen pots and keep it aside to cool down for 30 mins.
  5. Garnish it well and serve.
