Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rice 1 cup
  2. Moong dal 1/2 cup
  3. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  4. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  5. Water 3 cups
  6. Pepper 2 tsp
  7. Curry leaves 1 string
  8. Ghee 2 tsp
  9. Salt as required
  10. Cashew 4-6

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and dal for 30 min
  2. In pressure cooker add rice and dal, turmeric powder,salt and little ghee and 3-4 cups of water for 5 whistles
  3. Now in pan heat ghee add cumin seeds,pepper,Curry leaves cashew.fry for 4-5 min
  4. Now add fried pepper mixture to pongal.
  5. Mix well.serve it hot with chutney
