About Paneer Lababdar Recipe

This yummy paneer dish is cooked in a smooth gravy.

Paneer Lababdar

Ingredients to make Paneer Lababdar

  • 300gm cottage cheese ( Paneer)
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Dry fenugreek leaves ( Kasuri methi)
  • 2 large sized onion chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cream
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste

How to make Paneer Lababdar

  1. Heat oil in a pan, then add the chopped onion and saute it nicely.
  2. Now add the ginger-garlic paste, cumin and coriander powder. Saute it for 1 minute then add the turmeric powder. Next add in red chili pwder, salt and chopped tomato. Saute it for another 2 mins.
  3. Put this mixture into a blender and mix it well.
  4. Then pour this mixture back into the pan, pour in a little water and bring it to boil for 1-2 mins. Then add fenugreek leaves and stir well.
  5. Add the paneer cubes along with the fresh cream. Let this cook for 2 more mins.
  6. Serve it hot with roti, paratha or naan.
