Ingredients to make Poached Egg Carbonara ft. Indian Masala

  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 green capsicum
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 and 1/2 tomatoes
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tea spoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 chillies
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

How to make Poached Egg Carbonara ft. Indian Masala

  1. Dice the onion, capsicum and garlic finely.
  2. Heat the pan and put in the oil. Once its hot put in the mustard seeds, once these seeds splutter put in the onions and chillies.
  3. Fry till it turns translucent then add the garlic. After 2 minutes put in the diced capsicum and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the spices, sugar and salt to this mixture. Make two holes on the carbonara mixture and put in two nice eggs with the yolks intact.
  5. Add the oregano and cover the pan with a lid. After 8 minutes its ready.
  6. This dish is best enjoyed fresh with a nice toasted bread on the side.

Always taste the carbonara while preparing this dish.
