ABOUT Senagalu Kobbari Koora RECIPE

Senagalu kobbari koora or Soaked Bengal Gram & Coconut Curry is a quick & delicious recipe prepared in Andhra households. It cane be served with roti/rice/chapati. It tastes heavenly if you add a dollop of warm ghee before serving it with steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soaked Bengal Gram - 1 cup
  2. Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Turmeric powder - 1 to 2 pinches
  5. Green Chilli ( Slit ) - 3 to 4
  6. Curry leaves - 6 to 8
  7. For tempering- sliced onions - 3 tablespoons
  8. Mustard seeds- 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Oil - 4 tablespoon.

Instructions

  1. ARRANGE THE INGREDIENTS.
  2. TRANSFER 1 CUP OF SOAKED BENGAL GRAM INTO A DRY MIXIE JAR.
  3. HEAT OIL IN A PAN. SPLUTTER 1/4 TEASPOON MUSTARD SEEDS.
  4. ADD 1/2 TEASPOON CUMIN SEEDS, 3TBSP SLICED ONIONS, CURRY LEAVES & SLIT GREEN CHILLI.
  5. TRANSFER THE BENGAL GRAM DAL PASTE. MIX WELL.
  6. SPRINKLE TURMERIC POWDER & SALT. SAUTE WELL.
  7. ADD 1/2 CUP OF GRATED COCONUT. MIX & COOK UNTIL RAW SMELL GOES OFF.
