Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cup besan
  2. Salt to test
  3. 1 TSP CAROM SEEDS (AJWAIN)
  4. 1 TBSP RED CHILI POWDER
  5. 1/2 TBSP TURMARIC POWDER
  6. 1/2 TSP SODA BI CARB

Instructions

  1. 1 TSP CAROM SEEDS (AJWAIN), 2 CUP BESAN, 1 TBSP RED CHILI POWDER, 1/2 TBSP TURMARIC POWDER, SALT TO TEST, 1/2 TSP SODA BI CARB
  2. COMBINE THE BESAN, ASAFOETIDA , CAROM SEEDS, RED CHILI POWDER HOT OIL AND PREPARED SODA BI CARB MIXTURE IN A DEEP BOWL AND KNEAD INTO A STIFF DOUGH WITH USING WATER.
  3. GREASE A “SEV PRESS” (ALONG WITH ITS LID AND GANTHIA PLATE) USING A LITTLE OIL, PRESS THE DOUGH INTO IT AND COVER IT WITH THE LID.
  4. HEAT THE OIL IN A DEEP NON-STICK PAN, PLACE THE “SEV PRESS” ABOVE THE HOT OIL
  5. TURN THE HANDLE OF THE “SEV PRESS” SO THAT HALF OF THE DOUGH IS FORCED OUT OF THE GANTHIA PLATE AND DROPS DIRECTLY INTO THE OIL.
  6. DRAIN ON AN ABSORBENT PAPER.
