ABOUT Gobhi Sukha.... RECIPE

An all time easy going side dish with rice and rotis. Absolutely a simple yet a filling meal at any given time of the day. Comfort food by all means. This particular dry sabzi is without tomatoes. They can be added according to one's preference. Basically it's my way of doing this and i practically enjoy this with phulkas for breakfast with green tea. Yummy and healthy too, literally down to the earth meal. This is why i like it so much. Loaded with deliciousness in every bite !!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cauliflower large 1
  2. Oil 3 tbsp
  3. Ginger garlic mince 1 tsp
  4. Salt 1 tsp
  5. Onions sliced thinly 2
  6. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  7. Coriander seeds crushed 1 tbsp
  8. Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  9. Coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup
  10. Asafoetida 1/8th tsp
  11. Garam masala 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add crushed coriander seeds and asafoetida.
  3. After a minute of sauteeing, add ginger garlic paste.
  4. Add rest of the spices too along with the sliced onions and saute until translucent and light pinkish in colour.
  5. Finally add cauliflower florets to it.
  6. Saute on a medium high heat for a minute or two.
  7. After that, simmer on a low heat for the next 15-18 minutes.
  8. Adjust salt accordingly.
  9. Garnish with garam masala and coriander leaves before dishing it out.
