Methi lemon rice

Ingredients to make Methi lemon rice

  • 1/2 cup methi chopped
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • red chilly to taste
  • 2 pinch black pepper powder
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1-1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp oil

How to make Methi lemon rice

  1. Wash the rice and soak for 10 min.
  2. Wash the methi leaves
  3. Add oil to pan and heat it
  4. Add cumin seeds wait till they crackle.
  5. Add salt,red Chilly, black pepper powder.
  6. Add methi leaves and mix it.
  7. Add water .
  8. Add rice and lemon juice . mix it again.
  9. When water starts boiling, turn flame to low.
  10. Cover the pan 3/4th with lid .
  11. Cook rice till softened and serve hot.

My Tip:

While using lemon juice,the quantity of salt added should be kept lesser than usual
