Fish Amritsari

Ingredients to make Fish Amritsari

  • Fish pieces with bone - 500 gms
  • gram flour - 300 gms
  • Carom seeds /ajwain - 5 gms
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Amchur / roasted mango powder - 1 tsp
  • red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chat masala - 1 tsp
  • salt - to taste
  • mustard oil - 1/2 cup
  • lemon juice - 2 tbsp

How to make Fish Amritsari

  1. Wash the fish.Marinate with turmeric powder,salt and lemon juice.
  2. Keep aside for half an hour.
  3. Take a bowl add gram flour,ginger garlic paste,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,carom seeds,roaster mango powder,chat masala,salt and some water to make a solid batter.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Dip the marinated fish pieces into the gram flour batter.
  6. Coat them well.
  7. Deep fry the fish pieces golden and crispy.
  8. Drain in paper napkin.
  9. Serve hot.
