Ingredients to make Piyush

  • 500 gm curd
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 16-20 saffron strands soaked in milk
  • 1-2 tbspn kesar-elaichi syrup

How to make Piyush

  1. Hang the curd using a muslin cloth for approximately 15-20 minutes.
  2. Combine the hung curd with powdered sugar and mix well
  3. Add the cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and salt to the mixture. Mix well.
  4. Add the saffron strands soaked in milk and mix.
  5. The drink should be pale yellow in colour. Depending on taste, one can intensify the colour by adding saffron-cardamom syrup.
  6. Whisk using a hand blender
  7. Garnish with almonds, pistachio flakes, saffron and kesar elaichi syrup.
  8. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and serve chilled.

Piyush looks amazing just one query how much sugar does one need to add its not mentioned in the ingredients.
