Chilli Tapioca

Ingredients to make Chilli Tapioca

  • Tapioca 250 gms
  • onion (cubed) 2 medium
  • capsicum(cubed)2 medium
  • ginger&Garlic paste 2tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • chilli sauce 3tsp
  • tomato sauce 2tbsp
  • cornflour 4 tbsp
  • Refined flour 2tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • oil as required for deep frying
  • Kashmiri chilli powder 2tsp
  • Spring onions 5 ( optional)

How to make Chilli Tapioca

  1. Take Tapioca ,peel it,and cut into cube's.Boil the Tapioca in salted water till three fourths done and allow it to cool.
  2. To the boiled Tapioca add corn flour,refined flour and some kashmiri chilli powder.Mix all the ingredients well and deep fry in medium flame till crisp.
  3. In another Kadai,Add 3 to 4 tsp of the oil which was used for frying,Heat it and add ginger,garlic paste,sauté and then add cubed onions,saute well.
  4. Now add slit green chillies and cubed capsicum and saute well. Now add all the sauces and mix well.
  5. Now the mixture will be a lit bit watery,otherwise you can a little bit of water. To this add the fried tapioca and saute well.Garnish it with spring onion greens if using ,otherwise saute it till thick and well done.
  6. Chilli Tapioca is ready to serve,a child which refuses to eat boiled tapioca will eat this without any fuss.

My Tip:

Using Kashmiri chilli powder will give the colour to this dish
