ABOUT Chicken 65 RECIPE

This is a delicious Hyderabadi street food.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. To marinate:
  2. 450 gms boneless chicken
  3. Salt to taste
  4. 1 tsp cumin powder
  5. 1 tsp coriander powder
  6. 1 tsp garam masala
  7. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder/ paste
  8. 1 Egg
  9. 1-2 tbsp cornflour
  10. Coating Ingredients:
  11. Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  12. Ginger (chopped)- 1/2 tsp
  13. Garlic (chopped)-1 tsp
  14. Ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp (optional)
  15. A pinch of red food color (optional)
  16. Curry leaves 8-10
  17. Red chillies 2-3 dry (to taste)
  18. Coriander powder -1 tsp
  19. Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  20. Salt to taste
  21. Water as needed
  22. Oil to fry

Instructions

  1. Clean and cut the chicken, then marinate it with the marination ingredients for 1 hour. Now take a wok, fry the chicken and keep it aside on a paper towel.
  2. Take a wok, add in oil to heat, then add the cumin seeds and let it crackle. Next add the red chillies, once it smokes add the chopped ginger-garlic and cook it, then add the ginger-garlic paste, curry leaves, rest of spices with salt and water.
  3. Finally add the fried chicken and coat it with the masala properly.
  4. Serve it hot.
