Tandoori Momo

Ingredients to make Tandoori Momo

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 Tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • water as required
  • For stuffing-
  • 1 cup cabbage, grated
  • carrot, grated
  • capsicum chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 Tsp chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • For marination-
  • 1/2 cup hung curd
  • 1 tbsp tandoori masala
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • Pinch of red colour optional

How to make Tandoori Momo

  1. TAKE 1 CUP REFINED FLOUR, ADD 1/2 TSP SALT, 1/4 CUP MILK
  2. ADD WATER SLOWLY AND KNEAD INTO SMOOTH DOUGH
  3. ADD 1 TBSP OIL AND KNEAD THE DOUGH FOR 5 MINUTES.
  4. LET IT REST FOR 20 MINUTES
  5. FOR STUFFING- TAKE 1 CUP GRATED CABBAGE, ADD 1/2 TSP SALT, MIX WELL. KEEP ASIDE FOR 15 MINUTES.
  6. SQUEEZE THE CABBAGE, DISCARD THE LEFTOVER WATER
  7. ADD 1/2 CUP GRATED CARROT, 1 CHOPPED CAPSICUM, 2 TBSP CORIANDER
  8. 1/2 TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE, 1/2 TSP CHILLY POWDER, 1 TSP VINEGAR, 1/4 TSP SOYA SAUCE
  9. SALT TO TASTE AND MIX WELL
  10. DEVIDE THE DOUGH INTO SMALL PORTION, ROLL IT INTO THIN CIRCLE.
  11. PUT 2 TBSP OF STUFFING IN THE CENTRE. START PLEATING AND JOINING THEM TOGETHER
  12. POTLI SHAPED MOMO IS READY
  13. TRANSFER THE MOMOS ON GREASED STEAMER TRAY AND STEAM FOR 7-10 MINUTES
  14. FOR MARINATION- IN A BOWL ADD 1/2 CUP HUNG CURD, 1 TBSP TANDOORI MASALA, 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA
  15. SALT TO TASTE, RED COLOUR ( OPTIONAL) & MIX WELL
  16. ADD 1/2 TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE, MIX WELL
  17. TRANSFER THE STEAMED MOMOS TO MARINATION AND COAT WELL
  18. KEEP ASIDE FOR 15-20 MINUTES
  19. PLACE THE MOMOS ON NET AND CHARRED OR ROAST ON DIRECT FLAME
  20. TANDOORI MOMOS ARE READY
