ABOUT mixveg kofta .. RECIPE

fried dumplings prepared with vegetables and served in creamy gravy accompanied with small chapaties

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. for kofta/dumplings
  2. boiled potato 4tbsp
  3. chopped onion 2tbsp
  4. grated carrot 3tbsp
  5. grated beetroot 3tbsp
  6. chopped cabbage 3tbsp
  7. chopped capsicum 2tbsp
  8. salt to taste
  9. redchilli powder 1/2tsp
  10. rice flour 2tbsp
  11. oil for frying
  12. for gravy
  13. sliced onion 1/4cup
  14. tomato 1/2cup
  15. garlic 3-4pods
  16. ginger 1small piece
  17. cashews 4-5
  18. boiled green peas 3tbsp
  19. salt to taste
  20. redchilli powder 1tsp
  21. turmaric powder 1/4tsp
  22. coriender powder 1/2tsp
  23. kitchen king powder 1/2tsp
  24. water 1/4cup
  25. oil 1tbsp

Instructions

  1. Mix cabbage,carrot,capsicum and beetroot togather and add in a vessel
  2. Add chopped onion ,boiled mashed potato,riceflour,salt and redchilli powder in it Mix well make a dough and divide in to small portions and make balls of it
  3. Deep fry these balls on medium flame
  4. Fry till becomes crisp and golden remove from the oil keep aside
  5. For gravy Deep fry onions to light brown colour
  6. Grind fried onions tomatoes ginger and garlic Abd cashews togather and make a fine paste
  7. Heat oil in a pan add this paste and cook
  8. Add salt redchilli powder,turmeric powder coriender powder and kitchen king masala to it and cook till the mixture saperates the oil
  9. Add boiled green peas and 1/2cup of water mix well cook for 2more minutes ,switch off the flame
  10. For serving pour gravy in a bowl add fried dumplings in it and serve with chapati naan or rice as per your choice
